2022 was a remarkable year as Vahal Foundation had the privilege of organizing a symposium(1.0) at Olunde Community Secondary School, Ibadan. This event had students from different schools, totalling 100, converge at a hall. We had the pleasure of hosting two incredible speakers who shared valuable insights with our students.
Our first speaker, Mrs Tunmise, tackled the trending narrative that “school is a scam.” With compelling arguments and real-life examples, they showed our students why this assertion is far from the truth. Education is the foundation upon which their future is built, and we want our students to understand the importance of embracing it.
Our second speaker, Mr Daniel Akinyemi, took the stage to talk about purpose. They inspired our students to think deeply about their passions, values, and goals, and how they can start living a purposeful life right from secondary school. The message was clear: your purpose is your driving force, and it’s never too early to start discovering and pursuing it!
We’re committed to equipping young people with the knowledge, skills, and confidence they need to thrive. Initiatives like this symposium are just one way we’re working to make a positive impact in our community.
